This project is jointly funded by the Western Sydney Primary Health Network, South Western Sydney Primary Health Network, the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network and the NSW Ministry of Health. The University of Wollongong has been contracted to complete the research component and One Door Mental Health has been contracted to coordinate the MHFA component of this initiative.

Disclaimer: Please note details provided here will only be shared with our contracted parties the University of Wollongong and One Door Mental Health in order to coordinate your participation. 

What can you do?

Community Groups:

  • Host a Mental Health First Aid Training - for your community group leaders. carers and/or community members to be trained how to assist people who are; developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

  • Host a Talanoa for your Community Group:

    The MHT team are in the process of completing the ethics process for the research project. Each talanoa will be facilitated by the Mental Health Talanoa (MHT) research team at a time and location that will be profiled on this website, and also via email to those that have already expressed an interest.

    Thank you for the continued support and patience. We appreciate your willingness to be involved in an ongoing talanoa / conversation on Pacific mental health and wellbeing.
